Pinch Me

I received a special treat today.

I attended the Federal Communications Commission Panel held at the Leonard Goldenson Theatre, home of the Emmy Awards. The FCC panel brought together TV personalities from different Los Angeles stations to give one last push to the digital television conversion happening this Friday.

Legacy filled the room.

I listened to Chuck Henry (NBC4), Kurt the CyberGuy (KTLA5), Carlos Amezcua (FOX11), Telemundo's own Azalea Iniguez, and others speak about the history of the television and the importance of this momentous transition in the communications world. There I was, sitting in my comfy red seat in the second row, learning from broadcasters whom I've literally grown up watching on the television. I pinched myself.

I wonder what the next television transition will be and when it will happen. Maybe next time I'll be on that stage, and some bright-eyed college kid will be looking up at me.

There is always a legacy to continue. I'm working on it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
Life is good in purple and gold.
